Description of the problem | I have a new 2010 ford edge. I had it a week when i pulled up to a stop sign on a hill. I had the car in drive with my foot on the brake. There were cars in front of & behind me. When it was time to move forward, i took my foot off the brake and started moving it to the gas petal when i noticed the car was rolling backwards. I put my foot back on the brake and quickly moved it to the gas petal and was able to move forward before bumping the car behind me. I repeated the action on our driveway, which also has a slope. Again, it rolled backwards. I took it to the dealer, they drove it and said it did roll backwards but there was nothing wrong with it - that was normal operation. They drove another edge and said it did the same thing. I told them it shouldn't do that - it was unsafe, and they said there was nothing they could do about it. |
