Description of the problem | Brakes started making a very loud "hissing" sound and occasionally felt like the pedal wouldn't depress. Had the car inspected at dealership and was told the brakes were fine. Today (month later) the brakes still make the "hissing" sound and the brake won't depress without really stepping on it hard. It feels like the car will not stop. I drive my kids in this car and it terrifies me - this is clearly a problem that can lead to fatal results. I am surprised to find out there is no recall on the brake booster, which is the problem; given the incidents with gm and toyota i am shocked ford has made no effort to correct this problem. I am now not sure i will purchase a ford again in the future if i can't trust they will issue necessary safety recalls. |
