Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford edge. While driving 20 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise underneath the vehicle, causing the contact to come to an abrupt stop. The brake pedal became extremely stiff and the contact had to downshift. While attempting to shift into drive, the gear shift became stuck. The contact was unable to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transfer case and the brake booster needed to be replaced. The transfer case was replaced; however, the vehicle remained in the dealer's possession. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 134,000. |
