Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford edge. While driving approximately 15-25 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to respond. The contact stated that the brake pedal was extremely firm and additional effort was needed to depress the brake pedal. Additionally, there was an abnormal hissing sound when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to diehl's ford (11782 national pike, grantsville, md 21536) where it was diagnosed that the brake booster needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000. |
