Description of the problem | March19, 2017 while driving 20 mph from our neighborhood to church with my wife, there was a loud clunking from front passenger side. We turned onto the main road and as speed increased to 55 mph, the windshield cracked and i noticed the hood of car was raised up about an inch above the fender. We immediately turned around and drove slowly back to the house. The attached photos show what had happened. There is considerable damage to the sheet metal body components, windshield, plastic parts. There are many similar examples of the strut tower spot weld failure reported on the internet. All seem to be on the passenger side. |
