Description of the problem | I recently had to replace power steering lines in my vehicle due to metal corrosion rusting through the lines and causing the fluid to leak out, this issue has repeatedly caused my car to go out of alignment and has ruined my tires. The power steering was not working properly to the point of being dangerous because of it. Because my car is only 7 years old i am wondering if this corrosion would be covered by some sort of warranty or if this is under recall? Especially since my car is under recall for gas tank and air bag corrosion. I have reported this to ford as well. The repair just of the power steering lines cost me $500. I still need to replace all four tires as well. This defect is dangerous. Metal parts should not be corroding on cars. |
