Description of the problem | I noticed oil on my garage floor from my wife's ford edge. I took it in to my local ford dealer and was told i need a new p t u. This suv only has 64,000 and some miles. I had the part replaced to the tune of $2100. 00 plus. I have since found out that this is a common part to go bad on the ford edge. I feel this part is defective in design or defective because the parts are not built strong enough to do the job. Ford knows there is a problem with the p t u but will not offer any help to the consumer. |
