Description of the problem | While exiting a parking lot into the main thoroughfare the brakes suddenly became hard and unresponsive. Additionally we have noted a squealing and hissing sound coming from the brakes when the pedal is depressed. We took the car to a ford dealership and determined there is an issue with the brake booster system. Research showed the ford had issued a safety notice (13n02) and extended the warranty on the ford edge and the lincole mkx vehicles for the model years 2010 - 2013. I contacted ford customer service and requested that the safety notice be extended to cover 2014 as well as it is apparent the issue is ongoing and not isolated to the model years currently covered. Ford has declined to cover the issue. |
