Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford edge. The contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with a lane keeping system. While driving approximately 65 mph, the steering torque stiffened while changing lanes. As a result, the vehicle moved one lane further than was needed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer who diagnosed that the vehicle was operating as designed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to page 20 of the system manual for the exact function of the lane keeping system. The failure recurred. The contact wanted to return the vehicle for a refund. The failure mileage was 1,036. |
