Description of the problem | The wheel lug nuts swell up so that a 21mm wrench wont fit and a 22mm wrench is too loose. The lugs are a two piece construction and what happens is the inner piece ca roads and swells the outside piece. Dealer says all 20 nuts have to be replaced at a coast of $200. Ford has had this problem for years ! My nephew had the same problem on his 2011 f-150 ford truck. I called ford customer service and they gave me a claim number cas-17162485. This is a safety issue because if i get a flat tire my lug wrench is useless and i would be stranded. Please look into this problem , talking with the ford service tech. At the ford dealership this has been a ongoing problem for years |
