Description of the problem | Car died 3 different times while in traffic on a 4 lane highway. It's will start running ruff and the wrench light comes on the dash. Stop the car, put it park and shut it off for a couple of seconds, then crank it back up, the wrench light is off and it is running fine. The last time it did it, the check engine light came on. Took car to tire kindle so they could read the code as the ford dealer was closed. Code was throttle control sensor was stuck wide open. This same problem happened about 10,000 back with my wife. The car had about 45,000 miles. She took it. To the ford dealer and they replaced the throttle body as there have been this problem before. This problem should be resolved as it is life threatening by doing this heavy traffic situations. |
