Description of the problem | The escape engine stopped providing power and the accelerator stopped responding. The car engine went to idle. After pulling over shutting car off then on again the engine began responding. This happened about 10 times before getting the car to a service dealer. The problem was identified as a failed throttle body. The dealer indicated that these parts are on a 10 day back-order due to so many vehicles having the same failure and parts are not available due to surge in demand. |
