Description of the problem | As i was driving on a highway, the car began sputtering and then there was no acceleration. While the power remained on, the car drifted to a stop. After getting the car towed to the local dealership, i was told there was nothing wrong. A week later, the exact same thing happened again and i was then told the throttle body was defective. I was also told that this part was on a nationwide back order and my car was not be fixed until at least a week later. Today, my check engine light came on. Also, my sister owns a 2010 ford escape and had exactly the same problem about a week ago. Both cars had about 50,000 miles on them. |
