Description of the problem | Traveling along interstate highway at 60 mph in the center lane in rush hour traffic. Notice sudden drop in power and vehicle starts coasting! Pressing accelerator accomplishes nothing. "monkey icon" icon appears on dashboard. Fortunately, no one was riding my bumper and i was able to move over into the right lane and coast to the next exit. Engine continued to run as normal, the transmission just stopped working. |
