Description of the problem | My daughter was driving my 2010 for escape at approximately 40 mph. As she was slowing down for a red light, it turned green. However, as she tried to press on the gas to continue accelerating, there was absolutely no rpms. And, as she pressed on the gas, the car made a constant lunging motion. We switched positions, and i was able to babystep my way to an empty parking lot to wait for the tow truck to take it to the shop for repair. Not even talking to them about the issue, i see now that this is a defect in 2009 and 2010 for escapes. There are pages and pages of the same complaint out there online. With 6000 of these on a national back order, this absolutely should make the national recall list!!! |
