Description of the problem	Around 5pm driving home on a main street during rush hour, i was driving about 35-40mph and suddenly my vehicle, an automatic transmission 2010 ford escape xlt, stopped accelerating and began to tug. Also, the throttle control/power train light turned on. I turned on the emergency hazard lights and attempted to deviated to a parking lot where i turned off my vehicle. I waited a few minutes to turn it back on, and the vehicle turned on as usual. The throttle control light was no longer on. I proceeded to drive home, but it wasn't 5 miles into the trip when the vehicle malfunctioned again. A few days passed and my vehicle was working okay, however i started to notice a sluggish feel to it, as well as that it was having trouble shifting gears. Today, driving home again, i was driving on the interstate about 50mph, and the vehicle unexpectedly malfunctioned. I nearly got rear ended. Now both the throttle control and engine check lights turned on. I turned off my vehicle, and this time the engine check remains on. I called the ford dealership where i purchased my vehicle and was told to make an appointment.
