Description of the problem | Hard stop on an expressway and the brakes became spongy. In about a week or so they returned to normal, but about a month later, the same thing happened and the brakes never recovered. Had to pump the brakes to get a good stopping pressure. Four months later, out of nowhere, the vehicle had no pressure whatsoever. Brake fluid began pouring out from under the vehicle. Under inspection, mechanic faulted a failed abs module. Looking online, this is a very common complaint and needs to be addressed urgently. My vehicle has only 123,000 miles. |
