Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford escape. While driving 35 mph, the contact noticed that the steering wheel became difficult to handle and the power steering warning indicator illuminated. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted the vehicle. Afterwards, the contact was able to regain control of the vehicle and drove home. The dealer (webb ford, 9809 indianapolis blvd, highland, in 46322) stated that there were no open recalls associated with the vin. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was repaired per a previous unknown recall, and once a recall was closed, it could not be re-opened. The vin search revealed no recalls associated with the vehicle. The failure mileage was 84,000. |
