Description of the problem | Drove to school everything okay, came out after practice and 2010 ford escape would not turn when pulling out of parking spot. The wheel would click each time you turned a quarter of a turn right or left. After receiving assistance, learned the vehicle would turn but it was extremely difficult and no power steering. Took to sparks autorepair (1665 scherer pkwy, st charles, mo 63303) they diagnosed a steering column computer failure. This vehicle could lock up the steering at any time while driving. As a vehicle owner, i am forced to fix it. From what i have read, seems like there has been more than just myself experiencing this issue and it seems like on particular vins there was a recall. Reporting the issue of a serious steering issue is pretty important. This isn't a simple fix. Be safe 2010 escape owner/operators. We were lucky no one was hurt. |
