Description of the problem | While driving about 25 mph about 0. 25 miles from my garage the car would not accelerate when i stepped on the accelerator pedal. There was no throttle response. I was unable to re-start the engine after turning the car off, and had to be towed to a service center. The diagnostic code was p111 -- throttle body stuck open. Upon removal of the throttle body, the service mechanic said the throttle body appeared normal. I retained the original throttle body as evidence after it was replaced. *tt |
