Description of the problem | Was driving my new 2010 ford escape hybrid, which i had just purchased in august, 2010 at about 40 mph when - for no apparent reason - the rear window on the driver's side imploded. If a child had been in backseat, the child would have a highly likelihood of injury to eyes and probably cuts. Took the car to the dealership - and upon their inspection - they said there was nothing wrong with the window mechanism; and therefore, ford would not fix the window for free. Ended up costing me $500. I understand ford has been having issues with the same type of freak window explosions/implosions in the ford escape. Ford should be made to replace these windows - the dealerships are of no help whatsoever. |
