Description of the problem | The center instrument panel has stopped working on my 2014 ford escape. The vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 101, "control and displays. I have contacted ford and was told that the recall started with vehicles manufactured beginning may 2014 and my vehicle was manufactured feb 2014 so my vin wasn't included however im having the same exact problems. I paid $100 at the dealership for a diagnostic and was told it would cost $1000 to replace the instrument panel. I am unable to see any safety issues with my car like low tire pressure or my mileage. |
