Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford escape. While driving various speeds, the temperature gauge indicated that the vehicle overheated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and turned the engine off for a couple of hours. The vehicle was towed to hembrooke ford (1900 hamner ave, norco, ca 92860, phone number: (877) 384-5006) where it was diagnosed that there was no leak in the cooling line. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the hembrooke dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired because the dealer wanted to charge for a second diagnostic fee. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was contacted and did not offer assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 59,000. |
