Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford escape. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same symptoms as listed in nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling). The vehicle was taken to the dealer (university ford durham, 601 willard st, durham, nc 27701) where it was diagnosed that there was an oil leak that caused the heating system to fail. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and repaired again, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer for further diagnostic testing and repairs. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 37,225. |
