Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford escape. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the engine coolant warning light illuminated, the engine started to overheat causing the vehicle to stall. The contact mentioned that there was white smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle exhaust pipe. The vehicle was towed trotter ford lincoln (3801 bobo rd, pine bluff, ar 71603) where it was diagnosed that there was coolant in the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the contact informed the mechanic that the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling) 2 years ago. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no assistance was offered. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. |
