Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford escape. While driving various speeds, the vehicle would not accelerate above 5 mph and the rpms malfunctioned by increasing and decreasing rapidly. The contact stated that heavy whitish, blue smoke emitted from the exhaust. The contact stated that the vehicle overheated on four occasions. In addition, the contact stated that there was a recall initiated per nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling) for the exact same failure, but the vin was not included. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,000. |
