Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford escape. After starting the vehicle, a high temperature warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the coolant in the vehicle was leaking. The independent mechanic added coolant and the light turned off. While driving home, the contact noticed low coolant level in the vehicle. The contact spoke with premier ford (2120 us-45, columbus, ms 39705) who stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling), and the contact would need to have the vehicle diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the vin was not included; however, they would make a note of the incident and inform nhtsa. The approximate failure mileage was 50,100. |
