Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford escape. The contact stated that the instrument panel indicators illuminated and smoke appeared under the hood. The vehicle was pulled over and the contact discovered that coolant was leaking. The contact let the vehicle cool off and added more coolant. The vehicle was towed to coconut point ford (22400 s tamiami trail, estero, fl 33928, (888) 859-1976) where it was diagnosed that coolant leaked out from a defective unknown part that was not covered under the extended warranty. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall on the vehicle and would open a case to see if they could provide assistance towards the repair costs since the warranty had just expired. The failure mileage was 67,000. |
