Description of the problem | While driving on the hwy at 72mph on cruise control, the transfer case failed, causing the car to lose gear completely. This caused the rpms to skyrocket and the car to immediately begin slowing down - resulting in significant safety risks associated with surrounding traffic. Unknown what caused the transfer case to fail. |
