Description of the problem | Shifter cable bushings. 2014 ford escape. Nhtsa recall # 18v471. Ford recall # 18s20. Gear shifter moves to park, but does not register on drivers console. Cannot start car car drifts without emergency brake applied. Car had to be towed to dealer. Dealer acknowledged it was the recall issue, but since ford has not issued the parts yet there are making me pay for the repair until ford sends out a letter informing consumers that parts are available. I spoke with ford they told me i had to keep the repair invoice and get reimbursed when parts are available. My question is, if the dealer can fix it, why can |
