Description of the problem	My 2014 ford escape broke down the first time before christmas 2019 at 100,048 miles. The warning light was stating the vehicle was overheating. Fortunately, i was in my driveway when this happened as my vehicle went into limp mode. I assumed this was related to the recall for the temperature sensor than i had replaced prior. I was told there was nothing wrong with it and drove it for 3 more days. I had driven it about ten miles from home the morning it broke down again. The car gave no warning signals or lights. I was in a 65mph zone on the interstate and the vehicle had power to the engine but no acceleration. The rpm's would rev to 4000 but not accelerate. I quickly was down to less than 10mph trying to make it up a small incline. I managed to get to the shoulder before i was rear ended. I had the vehicle towed and i was told this was a fuel pressure sensor. I then paid $350. 00 to have this replaced. I picked up my vehicle only to drive it less than a mile from the dealership for it to break down once again. I was then told my transmission had completely failed and it would need to be totally replaced for $5,000. This is a complete safety issue due to the fact it happens at high speeds, no warning lights, and not having enough acceleration to barely make it to the side of the road.
