Description of the problem	Recall: shifter cable bushings, 2014 ford escape please be advised, on june 12 2018 as i was driving in my garage on my ford escape. The bushing in the transmission shifter calbe degrade and cause the transmission shifter cable to not be able to fully move the transmission to the selected gear position. The vehicle stated moving and down the hill and my friend had to help me stop the vehicle . Someone was almost hit by the vehicle car drifts without emergency brake applied car had to be towed to dealer in rockford ,il and the service manger agree to submit my bill to ford company which cost m e ($ 638. 07) service manger acknowledged it was a recall. And agreed to submit my invoice to get reimbursed. My question is, if the dealer can fix it . Why can't ford authorize payment,because i payed out pocket. Rock river ford (xxxx) i will never ever buy a ford car from nor have my repairs there are very unprofessional and rude parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.
