Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford escape. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle began to jerk and vibrate while the speed reduced independently. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as designed however, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer plantation ford located at 707 n. State rd 7, plantation, fl 33317, who diagnosed that the throttle body was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 89,800. |
