Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2018 ford escape. While the contact's wife was driving at an unknown speed, she heard fluid moving in an unknown part of the vehicle and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to jim shorkey ford (412-379-6465, located at 1234 long run rd, white oak, pa 15131) where a spark plug was replaced. The technician also sealed the distributor to stop further leakage, but the failure recurred within 48 hours. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where the technician diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the vehicle would not be ready until december due to work load (backlog). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000. |
