Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 1995 ford escort. The contact stated that the fuel tank was leaking gasoline, caused by a fracture in the fuel tank wall. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who inspected the failure and advised the contact of the fracture in the fuel tank wall. The mechanic also referred the contact to an authorized dealer. The dealer was notified who advised the contact that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign id number: 97v145000 (fuel system, gasoline: storage: tank assembly).
