Description of the problem | The incident date is the most recent. Truck has only 4200 miles on it. On all four occasions i was braking when it began to accelerated three times at highway speeds, one time on a gravel road. The cruise was not on. I did not have my foot on both the brake and accelerator. The brakes nor the emergency brake would hold it. Acceleration went up to 3000+ rpms and was witnessed by the passenger. I had to shift to neutral to get it stopped. All four times the dealer could not identify the problem nor make it happen again. It is a very unsafe and could have caused a fatality accident. Ford did reprogram the pcm module, but it happened again after that.*ak |
