Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 ford f-150. The contact was driving approximately 55 mph and closing the window. Once the window was closed, there was a loud abnormal bang. The window immediately dropped into the door panel and shattered. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that a cable within the door panel fractured. The vehicle was repaired. Approximately two years later, the failure recurred on the front passenger side window yet the window did not shatter. The vehicle was not examined for the cause of failure nor repaired. The failure mileage was 20,000 and the current mileage was 40,000. |
