Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford f-150. While driving 70 mph, the transmission suddenly downshifted into first gear. The contact quickly shifted into neutral gear since the rear wheels locked up. The vehicle was then coasted to the side of the road. The contact attempted to shift into drive again and the vehicle started to move, but shifted back into neutral. The contact shifted into second gear and was able to slowly drive home. The check engine indicator illuminated. The dealer (inskeep ford, 2651 w main st, greenfield, in 46140, (317) 462-1470) stated that there was no recall and advised the contact to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 193,000. |
