Description of the problem | Truck was brought in for minor rust on inside panels of back doors, where the door closes. Body shop stated that maybe the drain channel was blocked. Upon picking the truck up after repair i was told that the rocker panels on both sides were so rusted out they were beyond repair. They stated it looks like the truck sat in water for a period of time, i bought the truck new from a dealer in amelia oh 43011 i am the original owner. I have looked on the web and it seems this is common on ford trucks. I will cost me 4900$ to repair; the truck looks brand new and i have kept it in very, very good condition. I have contacted ford but they will not help, they stated no recall or warranty issues have been reported at this time. Why haven't their engineers corrected this problem? |
