Description of the problem | I have a 2014 f-150 3. 5l ecoboost truck.... It has approximately 72,000 miles that are mainly long haul and not short around town stop/start miles. My understanding is this does not qualify for repair under warranty. I have recently experienced a total loss of engine power without any warning. If i turn off the engine and restart then it will go back to full power for a short period of time and then cut out again. This is no fun making a right hand turn in rush hour traffic in the city... Very dangerous in fact. This has occurred whilst driving on the highway, driving around the city and sometimes going up a hill. I am not a vehicle expert and do not know what is the cause. I visited ford and even they were not sure. I will visit another dealer to see if i can get better information. My concern is about driving across town in heavy traffic and having the vehicle cut out on me again. |
