Description of the problem | 2014 ford f-150 ecoboost - at approximately 60 mph vehicle will shift into 1st causing the rear tires to lock up. Will then shift back to 5th or 6th and drive normal. Has happened several times with no warning before it happens. Also will shift from 1st to 5th when pulling out and will not accelerate. Will have to pull over and turn vehicle off, then restart. Sometimes it will lose all gauges when doing this and throw a check engine light. Check engine light will go out as soon as restarted. Again, no warning ahead of time when it does this. Seems to be the same issue that has been recalled in earlier model ford f-150s. Have scheduled appointment with ford dealer. |
