Description of the problem | My vehicle parked in my driveway. When i got in it to leave the brake pedal pushed down to the floor and the "low brake fluid" indicator came on. When i checked the brake fluid the fluid reservoir was empty. I had absolutely no brakes front or rear. When i filled the reservoir the brake fluid leaked out immediately from somewhere in the master cylinder without the truck even running or depressing the brake pedal. I had the truck towed to my dealer. The tow truck driver told me i was the second 2014 f150 he had towed today for the same brake issue. My dealer informed me that there was a recall out on it but i have received no notifications from ford. This is an incredibly dangerous situation and if i had been driving when the brake fluid emptied out of the master cylinder it could have been catastrophic. |
