Description of the problem | Nhtsa recall 16v-345 8/11/20, i encountered the defect described in the above srreport. The vehicle experienced a sudden loss of brake fluid with the resulting visual and audible alarms. I verified at that time that the reservoir in the master cylinder was empty and that the brake fluid had leaked from the reservoir. Additional brake fluid was added and the brakes were cycled to attempt to get braking performance back. 3 cups of fluid leaked from the reservoir with no visible liquid on the outside of the reservoir or anywhere else under the vehicle. There was leakage into the brake booster. Nhtsa 16v-345 states: |
