Description of the problem | Left for work this morning (april 29th 2019). Temp was 48, left the hotel and turned on rear defrost, smelled a burning electronics smell within about 2 minutes after turning on the rear defrost and heard a loud pop as i was traveling at 35mph. I looked back to see my driverside rear window completely shattered. Called ford and asked them if they new of anything, they just brushed me off. Im concerned greatly more for the electrical smell even though im highly upset about the window. I dont want a vehicle fire. This is a factory defect, not a wear and tear item or a consumable. I am thoroughly convinced ford needs to fix this, both my window and the electrical burning smell. I worked at a dealer as a technician, if my truck catches fire, i will hire a lawyer. |
