Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 ford f-150. While driving approximately 5 mph, the driver side door opened. In order to avoid a crash, the contact turned the vehicle to the right and landed in a ditch as the vehicle struck some bushes. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v652000 (latches/locks/linkages). The contact mentioned that the failure had occurred five times since the vehicle was purchased. The dealer (vinton baker ford in fairview oklahoma) was called and stated that the remedy was not yet available. The contact stated that he was informed by the dealer that the vehicle would be repaired according to the recall remedy but the scratches sustained to the vehicle |
