Description of the problem | The 2017 f-150 raptor has 31,000 miles on it. In the last 5000 miles the trucks 10 speed automatic transmission has started to shift up and down with abruptness. The shift is noisy and harsh to the point that the whole truck jerks and lunges forward when shifting from park to drive. The transmissions also shifts down real hard so as to cause the passengers the feeling that the truck has been rear-ended by a another vehicle. At this point the transmission is slipping and taking a left turn on a flashing arrow intersection is very dangerous. Ford says this is a normal behavior of the truck although for the first 25,000 miles none of the transmission issues existed. This is a continuous problem. |
