Description of the problem | The transmission has failed two times. The 10r80 transmission is known to shift erratic and cause the truck to randomly pick gears. It will also render the gas pedal useless. This will cause you to be unable to accelerate into the flow of traffic. It will hold a gear and then slam into the next gear and sometimes it will stay in 3rd or 5th and try to start off that way. Its a very dangerous issue. The first time my transmission went out it took ford over a month to get it going again. Now it is in the shop for the same issue and it has been there for over three months and is still there. |
