Description of the problem | My vehicle is a 2017 f150 lariet pickup truck, the vehicle is equipt with an electronic tailgate release. The tail gate has opened on me on at least a dozen occasions. While the vehicle is in motion. The vehicle has been back to the dealer with no satifaction the dealership had no anwer how to correct this and that there where other complaints and that there was an indicator light on previous model years and it is stated in the owners manual and. There is no why to disable the tailgate lock and there is no indicator light on the dashboard that the gate is open. This is a dangerous and unnerving problem that the ford motor company needs to be mandated to correct. Before an unsuspecting driver is hurt or killed from cargo flying out of the bed of this vehicle. There is again no way to lock the tailgate... |
