Description of the problem | This past week, we had a couple days of 30 deg weather in the chicago area in the morning and i started experiencing issues with my drivers door. It would not re-latch when i closed the door. Every time i closed the door i heard the infamous "thud" and it bounced back open. This happened over and over. I had to drive 12 miles, while holding my door closed so i can get to work. Eventually it starts working fine as the weather warms up. I understand there is a already a recall and a settlement on this matter for the exact year of my f 150, however my f-150 vin's is not apart of that. I've contacted ford and all i got was there's nothing that they are able to do since my vin is not apart of the recall. So in order to drive my vehicle safely, i need to pay out of pocket. This just proves there's still issues with the door latch system and it is a safety concern. |
