Description of the problem | This is a brand new truck i have purchased about 3 weeks ago. I have noticed some strange behavior of the accelerator pedal, i had an impression that sometimes it was getting a bit stuck or changed the position on its own. Today i have discovered by myself that the accelerator pedal assembly is completely loose, all 3 bolts are not torqued at all, i could turn them with my bare fingers. This explains the strange behavior i observed. Last week i complained to the dealer about the rough downshifting, they did a test drive (!) and found nothing wrong. I have made a video, i hope it will better explain the nature of the problem: https://youtu. Be/b9ijtdtdqya i definitely consider this a safety issue and i suspect ford does not have adequate quality control to ensure that the accelerator assembly is installed correctly. I am going to see the dealer tomorrow morning. |
